My first experience in teaching was gained as a meteorologist in a TV news station, producing the weather segment for the television affiliate stations of Univision and viewing public around the U.S.  This then led me to realize my love to educate and the learning environment.

I have been a science teacher for 8 years at the middle school level for private and public school system with a background and degree in Atmospheric Sciences.  As a teacher I came to realize that resources which should be readily available and would allow me to educate the students more efficiently, were sorely lacking or not possible to acquire.  When presented with a challenge, I did as any other teacher would do...  I created my own solution and bank of resources.  Over the years these resources and tools have grown and are largely incorporated into the numerous PowerPoint presentations I have created and use in the classroom.  These presentations allowed me to bring the science lesson out of the "black and white" textbook and into the students' everyday life with helpful, colorful pictures, animations, video clips, sounds, and real life stories taken right from certifiable and trusted news and educational websites.  The new approach these presentations paved in the classroom opened up fabulous discussions, thought provoking questions, and most importantly a higher retention of the lesson and its concepts.  Naturally as any teacher would do, I shared these discoveries and presentations with fellow coworkers who also experienced the same results in their classroom as I had.  One day I thought to myself, "How can I reach more teachers, help bring learning to the forefront, and make daily lessons more fun for both students and teachers?"  The answer was the Internet!  I have spent alot of time on this web site and gathered my entire collection of PowerPoint presentations, tools, and resources and now present them to you.  Become a regular visitor of this website and see how this collection of presentations and resources will continue to grow in number, diversity, and subject variety.
